Gwen Stefani has been in the music and entertainment industry since the early 90's and it would seem as though she hasn't aged since then either. Throughout her impressive career, the "Hollaback Girl" and "Wind It Up" singer has become nothing short of an icon with her signature red lip and golden locks. It's no doubt that the Revlon Ambassador and self-proclaimed makeup lover knows a thing or two about keeping up her immaculate complexion. Here are her secrets.

She always takes her makeup off at night.

Gwen is known for her signature bold makeup and actually does her own makeup for live performances. In 2017, she told Cosmopolitan, "I don't know what it is, but something about that whole kind of war paint. Once I get the makeup on, it's show time, I've said that for years and its so true." But like any good pop star, she is devoted to post-show skincare. "The one thing that I have really changed is trying to get all the makeup off. It was hard when I was younger because I was always on a tour bus, literally washing my face with bottled water, inside a bus. But the key is to keep it clean at night. Let your face breath" she told Elle UK.

She eats a vegetarian diet.

It's no secret that diet contributes to how your skin looks, and Gwen gets it. During a Mix 104.1 interview, she revealed that she has been a vegetarian since age 12, but her long-time boyfriend Blake Shelton does't follow the same diet. While chatting with celebrity chef Giada De Laurentis on Facebook Live she admitted that "everything's fried" in Oklahoma, where she lives with her family. However, getting wrapped up in diet is no joke, and Gwen agrees, adding, "It shocks me because growing up in California...we learn how to be healthy. And in Oklahoma, they learn just how to have fun and eat like not worry about it, which is great."

She gets her rest, or fakes it with a good foundation.

Gwen admits to Elle UK that the best way to beat tired skin is "probably sleep" but as a mom of three, she confesses that sleep isn't always easy. Her hack? A good waterproof foundation. She chooses Revlon's ColorStay Foundation always as, "It works so well, I don't need to reapply elsewhere."

On long days she'll redo her makeup.

Although a makeup fan, Stefani also loves the feeling of a clean face. She told Elle UK that when she was a judge on The Voice, "sometimes, if I have a really long day (like a 14-hour day filming day) I'll just wash it all off and start over again for that fresh-face feeling. I only do my skin though." While she admits that you can't really tell visually, "you do pretty much look the same," she says it just feels better afterwards.

She stays out of the sun.

When Elle UK asked her about the best skincare tip she had ever received, Gwen replied, "Stay out of the sun! It's funny though, because you definitely see it as you get older. Later in life, you're like 'What is that?!', and it turns out it's from the sun and you're like, 'Oh why did I do that to myself?'" She added, "That said, growing up in California, I was pretty good. Not when I was a kid, but once I hit my twenties."
