EXCLUSIVE: Cos Collaborates With California-based Artist Chris Perani on Colorful Capsule
Cos has partnered with San Rafael, Calif.-based artist Chris Perani on a capsule that brings his nature-inspired photography to life through fashion.
Known for incorporating rich textures and vibrant colors in his work, the brand looked to explore how Perani’s process could translate into fabric design. The minimalism at Cos, “simplicity and nature-inspired aesthetics aligned beautifully with my vision of sharing hidden details from the natural world,” Perani told WWD in a statement.

Perani is often drawn to photographing close-ups of insects, particularly butterfly wings, rocks and minerals. What is it about the natural world that serves as a continuous source of inspiration for the artist?
“It holds countless hidden worlds, each with intricate details waiting to be discovered,” Perani continued. “Every subject I document, from butterfly wings to minerals, reveals something unique and astonishing under the microscope. Each perspective uncovers a story woven into the textures of natural elements. I aim to share this journey of discovery and to show people that, sometimes, the most awe-inspiring landscapes are found within the smallest fragments of our world.”
Launching Dec. 4, the 24-piece capsule for men and women showcases bright, digital prints. Pieces include denim sets, a classic white shirt with a beaded wing design and a long-sleeve double-faced wool dress. The line will be sold globally on Cos.com and select Cos stores for a limited time.
“Much like fine art, fashion has the unique ability to inspire and evoke a deeply personal response, but it does so in an intimate, tactile way,” Perani added. “With these pieces, people aren’t just observing the art, they’re engaging with it, carrying a piece of nature’s intricate beauty. Art can weave itself into daily life, creating moments that remind us to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the extraordinary details hidden in the world around us.”
