While it might seem cool to be able to talk to the dead, things can get super awkward when the former queen bee of your school dies in a freak accident and her ex is trying to get with you now....Which is exactly what happens to Darby in Darby and the Dead.

The movie stars Henry Danger's Riele Downs as the title character, who had a near-death experience when she was young and can now see the souls of those who remain on Earth.

And now she has to deal with Capri Donohue, played by Auli'i Cravalho, who wants nothing more than her original Sweet 17 party (not a typo) to happen as planned in hopes it'll help her move on to the other side. Since Darby is the only one who can see Capri, you can tell who gets stuck trying to make it all happen.

Cosmopolitan has a special exclusive clip from the upcoming Hulu film, which you check out above. It features Asher Angel as James, Capri's ex who seems to be into Darby now after a night filled with hand-holding. (You can probably already imagine how Capri reacts to this, using her special ghost powers to get some revenge. Ya know, totally normal ghost stuff.) Riele, Auli'i, and Asher star alongside Chosen Jacobs, Wayne Knight, Derek Luke, and Tony Danza.
