From Harper's BAZAAR

Kim Kardashian is taking New York Fashion Week by storm with her freshly dyed hair. "I’ve been talking about going blond again for a long time, and I’m so happy I did! I know a lot of people initially thought I was wearing a wig, but it’s my real hair," she wrote on her website. "My amazing stylist, Chris Appleton, dyed my hair and got it to the most perfect platinum, silvery-white color."

But making such a drastic color change can wreak havoc on the health of your hair. You wouldn't know that by Kardashian's look at the Bazaar Icons party last night, where her silvery hair color looked so healthy we're still not convinced it's not a wig (sorry, Kim). “The products from Color Wow are my go-to when it comes to color treated hair and is a must-have when creating sleek styles like this, especially if you plan to go super platinum,” says Appleton. Ahead, the exact steps and products he used to get the look.

1. Right out of the shower, Appleton poured a coin-size amount of the Color Wow Coconut Cocktail to help boost shine and soften her hair.

2. Appleton created the perfect part by parting her still-wet hair in the middle with the tail end of a comb.

3. Before blow-drying, Appleton smoothed the frizz-busting Color Wow Dream Coat through her hair from root to tip, with a brush, to evenly distribute and lock-in moisture. Then he used the Dyson Super Sonic dryer to dry her hair.

4. Together with the Color Wow Dream Coat and the Harry Josh Pro Tools Ceramic Flat Styling Iron, Appleton smoothed her hair, concentrating on the ends.

5. Appleton used Color Wow’s Pop and Lock High Gloss Shine Shellac, rubbing it into his hands and smoothing it through the hair, root to ends, to polish off the look with added gloss.
