In the Gossip Girl reboot, Jordan Alexander's Julien Calloway is a quintessential Gen Z queen bee, constantly juggling her own moral compass with her influencer goals. Over six episodes, JC has proven to be a complicated character, with moves so unpredictable, they catch the audience by surprise every time. And while Jordan has the look and demeanor to take on the NYC "It" girl role, she has expressed that she is actually nothing like the character. Of course, Jordan is an actress, and she has ways of getting into the head of the Constance Billard queen. Her best trick? Turning on "Inside Julien's Headphones," a playlist created by Jordan, along with Gossip Girl's executive producer, Josh Safran, and music supervisor, Rob Lowry.

Two songs that aren't on the playlist, but help get Jordan in that JC mood are Ariana Grande's "Successful," of course, and "Traitor" by Olivia Rodrigo, "depending on the scene," Jordan told Seventeen exclusively. "Traitor" is fitting considering the cliffhanger scene between Obie and Julien that sent us on our way before the mid-season hiatus Gossip Girl is now on. The move (which I won't disclose in case you aren't caught up with the show), is right out of Blair Waldorf's handbook. To Jordan, though, this isn't surprising.

"Personally, I kind of feel like [Julien's] more of a Blair," said Jordan, who says she was "absolutely" a fan of the original series. "And I know Blair didn't necessarily get her good side fleshed out as much, but I feel like there were windows into a complicated human being who, a lot of the time, is doing some wildly reprehensible things." Just like with Blair, it's easy to go back and forth over whether Julien is the "bad guy" of the reboot. "Sometimes you're kind of like, 'Oh, like I see there's a heart in there.'"

It's that complexity that excites Jordan and makes her excited for upcoming episodes of the show. "I feel like there are leaps and bounds over the course of six episodes," she said. "You're introduced to these characters and you really think you know who they are and then that all just completely unravels."
