Exclusive: Rene Caovilla Teams Up with Neiman Marcus on Special Collection, Experience for Cleo Shoe Anniversary
Rene Caovilla has teamed up with Neiman Marcus to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the label’s signature Cleo shoe.
The brand will launch an exclusive collection with the luxury department store on Monday that will feature a curated display of archival pieces along with five new styles crafted with opulent rhinestones, intricate textures and bold colorways.

Among these new styles, three showcase Rene Caovilla’s hallmarks – a stiletto heel and serpent detailing. The remaining two styles include a block heel design with a unique coil serpent detail and a flat style adorned with vibrantly colored straps and signature crystal pendants.
Along with the collection launch, Rene Caovilla will host an immersive experience at Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills, where consumers will be able to catch a glimpse of the brand’s rich heritage.
Mr. Caovilla said in a statement that he is “thrilled” for consumers to get a chance to “experience the intricately detailed styles” of the brand in person at Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills. “The installation serves as a journey through the essence of Rene Caovilla, showcasing the evolution of our iconic designs alongside the debut of five new limited-edition styles,” he said.
“Rene Caovilla has built a loyal following amongst our Neiman Marcus customers through their dreamy designs and we are excited to partner with the brand to bring this exclusive collection and Beverly Hills installation to life,” added Jodi Kahn, vice president of luxury fashion at Neiman Marcus. “Each piece of the collection is a true work of art with close attention to detail that will make a statement for day and night dressing.”
Rene Caovilla’s tie-up with Neiman Marcus marks the brand’s latest activation held in celebration of the Cleo’s 50th anniversary. In December, Rene Caovilla toasted to the Cleo shoe with cocktail party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Previously, the brand also held a party at Harrod’s in London last September.
The Venice-based maison was founded by Edoardo Caovilla in 1934 but didn’t gain international recognition until the 1960s when his son Rene Caovilla took over the company.
