Jasmine Roth was dancing in the streets. Full on, I-don't-care-who's-watching dancing. Not that that's too unusual, actually. When her brother-in-law first saw her doing it, he thought it was just a typical Friday morning. "Honestly, I was annoyed you had that much energy - I thought it was just you being you," Jasmine recalls him telling her.

Little did he know that the Built Custom Homes founder had just gotten major news: Her HGTV show, Hidden Potential, was picked up for a second season. And this time around, they ordered even more episodes, bumping things up from 13 episodes to 17.

"I was hopeful we'd get a second season, but nothing was for sure," Jasmine says. "The ratings were really good, and I knew that, but there are so many factors that go into a successful TV show."

Here's What To Expect From The New Season:

Just like before, Jasmine will be customizing generic, cookie-cutter homes in the Huntington Beach, CA, area. Only this time around, she'll be stepping into the role a little more confidently - "My main lesson from season one was to not pay attention to the cameras ... [season two] is validation to keep being me and do what I do" - and she'll be looking for a whole lot more families to help.

Here's What You'll See Even More Of:

Jasmine regularly hosted Instagram Lives and posted across her social accounts where she bought different furniture and decor featured in each episode. She received such positive feedback that you can expect more of it when the next season airs.

"I watch a ton of TV, and I always want to pause the TV, just to see little details. Like, see that closet? I want to see what they actually did there," Jasmine explains. That curiosity prompted her to start sharing those details online.

You'll also see more multi-purpose rooms, like the custom murphy bed she made in season one, which had a built-in chalkboard and desk. "I got so much feedback on the use of that space," she says. "People loved that it could be a guest room, a homework nook, an office - anything. We all have so much going on in our lives that it's good to have multi-functional spaces like that."

Oh, and expect them to play up the "hidden" part of Hidden Potential. "The main thing people were really drawn to in season one was anything hidden, like a hidden speakeasy we did, where a bookcase turned into a door, and behind that door was this really awesome speakeasy," Jasmine says, adding that she's in the process of building one in her own house. "When you were a kid, you dreamed of having a secret passageway or a hidden room. Why not have your house be fun and playful and happy as an adult?"

Here's When They'll Start Filming:

As soon as Jasmine and her husband get back from vacation - she's trading in her beachy surroundings to go snowboarding in Argentina - the HGTV star is headed straight into pre-production meetings, looking for homes to renovate and dreaming up ways to customize them. They'll start filming right away, though the network hasn't announced when, exactly, new episodes will air. After all, Jasmine's got 17 houses' worth of work to do beforehand.

"I just bought a new pair of work boots," she laughs. "I'm ready."
