Oasis of Love Church hosting block party

The Oasis of Love Church will be hosting its Seventh Annual Community Block Party from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. This free event was founded by the late Walter Jordan II, former pastor of the Oasis of Love Church.

The block party will feature free food from local restaurants, freshly cooked food from an on-site grill, baked goods, fun for the family, and most importantly, backpacks filled school supplies for children/youth in need grades K-12. There will also be bounce houses, fire trucks, face painting, free haircuts and more.

Guest speaker at All Souls

BELLVILLE — All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church of Bellville, 25 Church St., will welcome the Rev. Joan VanBecelaere as guest speaker at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Her presentation is titled "Stories of Challenge and Change."
