The Fall Beauty Trends Southerners Will Love

Keeping up with the latest beauty trends is one of Southern women’s’ favorite pastimes. That’s why we’re always curious to hear what the new season brings. However, just because something is deemed the new “it” look, doesn’t mean we’ll immediately be on board. This is especially the case if it’s a trend that appears sloppy or unrefined. Unfortunately, these grungy, “I Woke Up Like This” hair and makeup styles have been all the rage lately, making us wish we never saw bedhead hair or “no makeup” makeup again.

Luckily, I have good news y’all: This fall the beauty trends are as pretty as a peach. Here are six hair and makeup ideas that you’re going to see everywhere this season:

Shiny, Healthy Hair

Finally, messy undone styles are out, and glossy, bouncy strands are in! Even though most of us never gave up our weekly blowouts, now there’s no excuse not to up our mane’s shine factor.

Red Lips

Even though we’ve never fallen out of love with this classic hue (and own multiple tube of it at that!), we’re always happy to see that our go-to red lipstick is still in vogue.

A Pop Of Color

While you can never go wrong with timeless smoky shadow or a cat-eye, have a little fun by incorporating a bright splash of color into your eye makeup. Stay on trend by choosing a look-at-me hue to accent your top or bottom lash lines. A jewel-tone shade that highlights your eye color is particularly flattering.

Hair Accessories

Barrettes, headbands, and bows aren’t just for our daughters and nieces anymore. The grown-up way to wear this trend is to choose chic styles that look more like jewelry than Game Day gear. It’s all your need to take your ponytail or bun up a notch.

Lip Gloss

For a while it seemed like matte formulas were all we could find in the beauty aisle, but now high-shine pout products are back and better than ever. Try rocking a clear formula on top of lipstick or use a tinted one for a subtle sheen.

Unexpected Glitter

A touch of glitter is a fun way to dress up your entire look. Use delicate sparkles on your lids or the tops of cheekbones to make the glittery accents more on-trend than art class.
