The second Food Truck Friday of the summer is happening tonight at the Sen. Thomas Norton City Pier, 600 Davol St., Fall River.

Stop by from 4 to 8 p.m. to enjoy food from Bem Bom Portuguese/American Culinary Fusion, Pop’s Mobile Brick Oven Pizza, and Red’s Street Kitchen.

Plus, grab a sweet treat from Kona Ice.

Viva Fall River announces winner of Hot Dog Home Run World Series

In the Hot Dog Home Run World Series packed with tasty contenders, there could only be one winner.

Viva Fall River has announced that Faneek’s Coney Island, 269 Rhode Island Ave., Fall River, has taken the crown.

Faneek’s offers their Coney sauce in-restaurant and even at the store, should hungry customers want to whip up their own batch at home. Guests can enjoy hot dogs, sandwiches, rolls, and more, with a wide-ranging menu inspired by local flavors.

“Thank you to everyone who voted and made this competition sizzle, and to all of our contenders for doing what they do best!” Viva Fall River wrote in a Facebook post announcing the winner.

Portuguese street corn at The Bearded Chicken

This week’s special at The Bearded Chicken, 1160 Grand Army of the Republic Hwy., Somerset, is a twist on Mexican street corn.

The Portuguese street corn starts with sweet corn from Almeida’s Vegetable Patch, which is then slathered with butter and coated with The Bearded Chicken’s Azorean rub. It’s topped with Sriracha mayonnaise, homemade lemon crema, queso fresco crumbles, and parsley.

New wicked frozen lemonades at Helger’s Ice Cream Shoppe

Helger’s Ice Cream Shoppe, 2490 Main Rd., Tiverton, has some new frozen treats to help you stay cool this summer.

Their wicked frozen lemonades come in a variety of tastes, including lemonade, plus lemonade with the following flavors: blue raspberry, strawberry, mango, and watermelon.

Watermelon summer cocktails at The Westporter

The Westporter, 1031 Main Rd., Westport, is celebrating all things watermelon with some special summer cocktails.

Guests can sip on a watermelon lemon verbena martini, spicy watermelon margarita, or a watermelon Aperol spritz.
