The Famous Restaurant Travis and Donna Kelce Love to Stop By
Travis and Donna Kelce
Nobody panic, but we’ve got the deets on the Kansas City Chiefs go-to restaurant and you might just spot a famous Kelce (or their mom) while you’re there.
Kansas City-style barbecue — birthed in the early 20th century by legendary pit master Henry Perry — is just one of the many regional barbecue styles you can find across the country. Instantly recognizable by its thick, sweet, tomato-based sauce and its no protein left behind methodology, the storied cooking method has garnered a die-hard fan base, and rightfully so.

Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que is one of the many institutions continuing the legacy of pitmasters' past and the results have created quite the famous clientele. While a line around the building is the norm, mingling among the winding queue of customers, you’ll likely find Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce or quarterback Patrick Mahomes patiently waiting to grab their order.
Although the local eatery is a hot spot for the pros, players "just want to wait in line like everybody else," according to Joe’s general manager, Victor Brummel. “It's part of the experience. They don't want to feel any better than anybody else. They just want to come and enjoy.”

It goes without saying that the main attraction for athletes is the food with most ordering the burnt ends or the famed Z-Man. The monstrous sandwich consists of your choice of brisket, chicken, pork or portobello, topped with BBQ mayo, two onion rings and smoked provolone cheese on a toasted Kaiser roll.

In addition to members of the team, the restaurant is a favorite of Travis’ mom, Donna, as indicated by a recent snap with a fan posted on the barbecue joint's Instagram page. After dropping by Joe’s, the famous mom spent the evening cheering on her son with his new flame Taylor Swift for the third time.
While the "Lavender Haze" crooner hasn’t been spotted at the restaurant yet, we have a feeling it’s only a matter of time before T&T make their way to the famous local spot.
