Fan Predicts Aaron Rodgers' Devastating Injury And Why It Would Happen Hours Beforehand
In a turn of events that seemingly no one could have predicted, Aaron Rodgers suffered what may be a season-ending injury during his big debut with the New York Jets on Monday night. Except one person actually did predict it.
The 39-year-old Super Bowl MVP made it less than four minutes into the game against the Buffalo Bills before he was sacked by defensive end Leonard Floyd, landing awkwardly on his ankle. Although the Jets ended up winning the game 22–16 in overtime, fans became concerned as Rodgers was seen limping off the field.

Although X-rays during the game were negative, Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters after the game that he believes Rodgers may have injured his left Achilles tendon in the fall.
"Concerned with his Achilles. MRI is probably going to confirm what we think is going to happen, so prayers tonight," Saleh said. "But it’s not good."
Just hours before the game, one user on the platform formerly known as Twitter, whose account has mysteriously since been suspended, called not just that Rodgers would tear his Achilles, but that it would be the result of the wet turf in MetLife Stadium after storms tore through the area.
"Aaron Rodgers is going to tear his Achilles on a rain drenched MetLife turf in 2.5 hours," posted the user @DaddyZaslav, an apparent riff on the name of Warner Bros. Discovery head David Zaslav.
"40 year old QB on rain drenched turf against the best team in football what could go wrong am I right," the user added shortly after in a follow-up tweet.
Although both tweets have since been removed along with the account, it was not before the tweet went viral, as stunned fans shared their reactions to the apparent prediction.

Following the incident, many fans questioned why the NFL still allows for artificial turf on fields, particularly as World Cup standards are mandating natural grass for NFL stadiums hosting soccer games in 2026. As such, even Rodgers former teammate, Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari took to the platform to out the NFL on blast.
"Congrats [NFL]. How many more players have to get hurt on ARTIFICIAL TURF??!" Bakhtiari posted. "You care more about soccer players than us. You plan to remove all artificial turf for the World Cup coming up. So clearly it’s feasible. I’m sick of this..Do better!"

An MRI confirmed on Tuesday morning that Rodgers did indeed tear his left Achilles tendon, according to ESPN's sources.
