Fans Amazed by Kelly Clarkson's 'Satisfying' Cover of '80s Classic
Kelly Clarkson hit it out of the park once again with her newest Kellyoke cover, sharing her personal rendition of the song "All Around The World" by Lisa Stansfield, which originally came out in 1989 on Stansfield's debut solo album, Attention.
Now, Clarkson is taking on the classic tune, performing "All Around the World" for her fan-favorite Kellyoke segment.
The star shared a video of the performance on the Kelly Clarkson Show's YouTube channel, where fans couldn't get enough of it, offering their pure reactions to Clarkson's performance in the comments. One hoped for Clarkson to explore other genres like this in the future, possibly even making a full album of it.
They wrote, "I swear Kelly could record an album in any genre and it would be a smash. This cover is a jam and as most times (sorry Lisa, love you) is better than the original."
A few others shared the thought that Clarkson's version was better than the original, with comments like, "A song I’ve listened to countless times, but Kelly’s version sounds better for me," and "Holy shit. Only KC can make covers better than the original. Hahahaha."
"Satisfying cover, her voice is incredible same as Jessie's," said another fan.
Someone else commented, "Kelly doesn't just sing these amazing covers..she channels the Artists they belong to ...she is one of the most versatile voices I've ever heard."
Kellyoke has become a beloved segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show, with past performances including The Killers' "Somebody Told Me" and Hall & Oates' song "Maneater."
Clarkson continues to surprise her fans, and it's anyone's guess what song she'll cover next.
