Fans Beg McDonald’s to Bring Its Squishmallows McFlurry to the US

McDonald's unintentionally taunted fans after releasing a new frozen treat exclusive to Canada, and now the jealous customers have taken to social media, demanding the burger joint give them what they want: the Squishmallows McFlurry.

In a video shared on Instagram earlier this month, the global fast food giant revealed the poppin' new milkshake-style treat would be headed to participating locations across Canada.

According to the official description, the Squishmallows McFlurry adds "some pop to your taste buds" by utilizing snappy popping candy. It also appears to be berry-flavored, as the profile describes the drink as "smooth vanilla soft serve blended with pink popping candy and delicious blueberry-flavoured syrup."

The Aug. 2 post, which was captioned "let’s get it poppin’ @squishmallows ??," has since gone viral and the company's US-based fans are bummed out McDonald's hasn't announced any plans to launch the sweet treat here.

"Please I need this but I’m in the us," one Instagram user begged in the comments.

Another tagged both McDonald's and the company behind the stuffed toys before asking, "will it be in the us we need to know."

"Please bring this to the US!" a third declared.

There were also demands for McDonald's to ship the Squishmallows McFlurry overseas to the United Kingdom.

"Don’t think this is in uk :(," one disappointed social media user wrote, while another simply tagged the English division of the beloved burger joint.

And, of course, comparisons were made to the successful Grimace shake, which did launch here in the States as part of the Grimace Birthday Meal, later taking on a life of its own as a viral TikTok trend.

"Can't believe we got this and not the Grimace shake," one joked before another added, "gonna turn this into our grimace shake by violently puking it all over the floor of the McDonald’s dining room."

So far, McDonald's has yet to address fans' requests to bring the Squishmallows McFlurry to markets outside of Canada, however, it did confirm a new McFlurry flavor would be launching this month.
