Fans Can't Get Over Drew Barrymore's '90s Brows' in Throwback Photos
Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore had fans in their feels after sharing a series of candid throwback photos.
On Wednesday, the talk show host and actress uploaded two undated and makeup-free pics of herself with short blonde hair, enjoying a bowl of spaghetti. Barrymore ignored the photographer in the first photo and gazed at the pasta twirled on her fork. The second, however, was taken at a different angle and showed her smiling with her mouth wide open while eyeing the camera.
Alongside the Feb. 14 post, she added the witty caption, "I hope your Valentine looks at you the way I look at carbs! Happy Valentine’s Day!??."
The 48-year-old's followers completely disregarded the loving well-wishes and, instead, took a moment to talk about only what mattered to them: the 50 First Dates alum's pencil-thin eyebrows.
"the brows were an era," one top-liked comment read.
A second cheered, "90's brows ?? love it ??."
"The pencil thin eyebrow eraaaaa lordddy," someone else shared before a different Instagram user gushed over Barrymore's look, "No one rocked those brows like you Drew! ??."
The remarks didn't stop there, as her comments section quickly filled up with even more love and replies like "the brows ?????? So 90's ?," "Love the Valentine’s Day flashback @drewbarrymore. ??????," and "icon."
There was also a decent amount of commentary from other '90s-style brow survivors.
"This stage was the stage that pushed me into tweezing all of my eyebrows out. Never grew back," one admitted.
"My eyebrows have never fully recovered, lol," another wrote before adding, "Happy Valentines Day ??."
"You are the reason I microbladed in my 40s ??????," a third confessed.
Aside from growing her eyebrows in thicker and changing her hair color, Barrymore still looks a lot like her younger self–and according to recent statements, her glowing skin and youthful appearance have all been achieved without plastic surgery.
"I haven't done anything, and I'm going to maintain that as long as possible," she told People in a Nov. 2023 interview. "I have zero judgment for anyone doing anything. But I don't see myself resorting to it."
"I look forward to seeing what I look like as a leather bag in the future!" Barrymore added.
