Kelly Clarkson continues to show off her powerhouse vocals.
The "Piece by Piece" singer performed an "extra special Kellyoke" session during a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she was joined by late night legend, Paul Shaffer, who sat in with her band, aptly named My Band Y'all.
The duo put their own spin on Patti LaBelle's iconic 1984 tune "New Attitude," bringing "vocal gold" to the rendition, according to one fan in the comment section of the video upload on YouTube.
"Okaaaay!!!! Patti is a vocal force of nature!!!! She can literally rumble the cosmos with her voice! Kelly Clarkson did this so much justice! Kelly is just the best hands down! She is def a timeless vocalist herself! =)," one gushed, while another commended, "One take is all she needs! #vocalgold."
"I'm feeling a new vibe or new attitude in Kelly indeed, and I'm loving it! You go girl, you're amazing!" a third applauded.
"Her belts are insane. She's the best vocalist of her generation and the best of this century. Nobody is compared to her," an additional adamant fan campaigned.
Someone else insisted "Kelly can sing anything," and we can't say we disagree.
Amazing pipes aside, though, the 41-year-old's style was another standout feature of the clip, and did not go unnoticed by loyal fans. For the riveting musical presentation, Clarkson donned a dark-wash denim wrap dress with red polka-dot platform heels.
"Whomever is styling her in the NY style is doing a great job. The clothing looks great," one complimented, as another noticed, "You look like you haven't aged a day since American idol, Whatever you are doing, keep doing it, you look amazing," in part.
Following the conclusion of the 148-day Hollywood writers' strike, the broadcast returned with its season five premiere on Monday, Oct. 16. Recording was recently moved from Los Angeles to the legendary 30 Rock studio in New York City.
The Kelly Clarkson Show airs weekdays on NBC.
