For the first time ever, Nickelodeon broadcasted the Super Bowl to their young audience, using colorful graphics and explanations from Dora the Explorer to help new fans understand the game—and roast the teams following the first quarter when she questioned who was in need of a map to find the end zone.
The channel's depictions of this year's famous spectators sent seasoned fans reeling, as a shirtless Jason Kelpe watched on beside Taylor Fish before the camera spotted Shrimpothee Chalamet and Snoop Fishy Dogfish in the crowd, but it was their "accurate description" of Travis Kelce that really got fans going.
In a screenshot from Nick's broadcast of the Super Bowl, uploaded to the New Heights subreddit, the children's network identified the tight end as "Taylor Swift's Boyfriend," giving him the description, "Good at Football" as they aired a shot of him sitting on the sidelines.
They're not wrong, given that the tight end and his team claimed victory at their second consecutive Super Bowl, ending the game against the 49ers with a touchdown that came seconds before the end of their overtime round.
The real Taylor Fish, along with her and Kelce's friends and family, watched it all go down from their luxury suite, which featured sleek black and marbled fixtures, a full bar, VIP seating and more, before rushing to the field at the conclusion of the game to congratulate the winners.
"Oh my God," Swift is believed to have told him after one technologically inclined fan isolated her vocals from a clip of the moment. "I cannot believe that. I can't believe it. How did you do that?"
"I'm so proud of you," she added before Kelce appeared to ask, "Was it electric?"
"Unbelievable," she assured him. "It was unbelievable. That was the craziest thing I've ever seen."
The two then hit the town with the rest of the team, celebrating the achievement at Zouk nightclub at Resorts World, where several of Swift's hits were played throughout the night. The two were spotted kissing during "Love Story" and sweetly pointing to one another during "You Belong With Me."
