Fans are Loving Dolly Parton's Throwback 'The Dolly Show' Clip Featuring Hulk Hogan
Dolly Parton took fans back to when Hulk Hogan had a headlock on her heart.
The country legend shared a clip on Instagram from her variety series, The Dolly Show, featuring a very '80s wedding between herself and the WWE star. There's a lot going on in the delightfully campy clip: the bride and sleeveless groom walk down the aisle with a wrestling ring as the backdrop as glitter rains on them.
Parton then turns to the camera, sharing some wrestling puns: "Well, it's a whole new arena for me—but it's a whole new wrestling match for him," as the former Hogan Knows Best star winks. The singer adds, "I guess you could say he's pinned me down for a lifetime."
Hogan then picks up the bride as balloons fall from the ceiling, spinning her around. A spoof song written just for the segment played, with lyrics like, "He's got a headlock on my heart / It was a take down from the start."
Parton captioned the throwback video, "He's got a headlock on my heart #tbt."
WWE wrestler Torrie Wilson remarked in a comment, "This is awesome!"
Parton's fans agreed. "My life is now complete!!! ????," someone shared, while another wrote, "This is so good?? love it!!"
Some fans even remembered watching it live on TV.
"I remember watching this on the Dolly Show!??," exclaimed a fan. Another added, "The match made in heaven!?? I remember this!"
A fan loved the spoof song, going as far as questioning why contemporary pop music can't be as fun: "But I ask, people, WHERE HAS THE CAMP GONE IN POPULAR MUSIC?! Can we please bring that and random speaking bridges back into the fold? Artists, where u at. ????."
