Fans Praise Taylor Swift for Powering Through Bad Weather During Concert
Taylor Swift didn't let a few raindrops on her guitar stop her from performing in Nashville last night.
Following a weather delay that caused Swifties to shelter in place for nearly four hours, the award-winning artist finally took the stage for her third and final show from the Eras Tour in the Tennessean city around 9:30 p.m. local time.
And while fans were forced to wait it out as severe thunderstorms passed through the area (and pass up on sets from openers Phoebe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams), the "Anti-Hero" singer apparently made every soaked second worth it.
After multiple videos showed the 33-year-old performing in downpours, reportedly until almost 2 a.m., fans–both in the crowd and online–took to social media to praise the singer-songwriter's dedication to her craft and supporters.

One Twitter user called Swift's decision not to cancel the show the makings of a "true performer."
The fact that this woman played until 2am in the rain is insane to me. A true performer. https://t.co/vPa9TsRgz8

Others pointed out how much they appreciated the "Bad Blood" songstress' consideration for those who traveled, planned, and saved up for the show.
taylor swift really just sat out a nashville storm and is starting the show at 9:45 when it usually starts at 8 (6:30 w openers). we love an artist that tries their best to not cancel especially knowing people travelled and spent so much money into going.

Starting your show over two hours late due to a thunderstorm delay, committing to still playing the entire 3 plus hour set until 1:30am, continuing to perform in the pouring rain, and bringing out two special guests? Taylor Swift is the music industry. #NashvilleTSTheErasTour

Taylor Swift sat out a 4 hr weather delay, began her show @ 10:30 pm, didn’t shorten her three hour set, and performed in the pouring rain.
You will never convince me this woman doesn’t love her fans idc what you say.

The final update regarding Swift's May 7 concert came from the venue, Nissan Stadium, via Twitter and used none other than lyrics from Swift's song, "Sparks Fly," which was released in 2010.
"Drop everything now! Meet me in the pouring rain!" the statement read in part. "Shelter in Place has officially been lifted!"
Around the same time, the National Weather Service confirmed the risk of severe weather in the city had passed.
I bring you good news, weather peeps. Ready for it? The storms are weakening considerably and there is currently no lightning threat for downtown Nashville. There will be showers in the area lasting into the overnight hours, but the strongest cells will be in areas further south. pic.twitter.com/O4PiYRqMOJ

And while the circumstances weren't ideal, Swift proved there's truly nothing she can't shake off.
