Fans Recall What Martha Stewart Taught Them in Honor of Her 82nd Birthday
Martha Stewart is now one year older—and what better way to celebrate her life and legacy than by reflecting on some of the most valuable life lessons she's taught her fans over the years.
In honor of her 82nd birthday, which falls on Thursday, Aug. 3, the Instagram page for Stewart's brand shared a celebratory post in her honor, which read, "Happy birthday to our founder @marthastewart48! ??."
"As we reflect on the lessons Martha has taught us (whether it's how to bake the best birthday cake, host the ultimate party, or fold a fitted sheet) we also know that mastering these life skills is really all about one thing: Finding the good things that make life that much better," the caption continued, before prompting fans to share some of the wisdom they've gained from following the lifestyle guru and businesswoman throughout her career.
"What has Martha taught you over the years? Leave your comments and birthday wishes below!" the post concluded—igniting a flurry of fan replies in the comments.
"She thought me that you can do anything if you put in hard work, dedication and passion," one fan gushed. "She’s the greatest!!!??????."
"She taught me every single aspect of homekeeping can be beautiful and inspired, that one woman can influence our entire culture and beyond ?" someone else wrote.
Others got a little more specific, including one follower who said Stewart taught them to "Use the very best vanilla when baking. It makes a difference."
"Gardening tips and her passion for flowers," another person chimed in.
Other tips fans mentioned included how to fold a fitted sheet properly, her famous coleslaw recipe, how to decorate for the holidays, and even how to celebrate womanhood.
"Endurance and integrity!" someone else added. "She can get knocked down and rise even higher! Also, all the other 'stuff'! Happy Birthday!"
We couldn't have said it better ourselves!
