The Fantastic Four Switches Release Dates with Thunderbolts and Makes Exciting Casting Announcement
In a plot twist from Disney, Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four have switched release dates.
Thunderbolts will now hit theaters on May 2, 2025, and The Fantastic Four will take the July 25, 2025, spot at the box office.
Three-time Emmy nominee Matt Shakman is bringing the story of The Fantastic Four to the big screen, and it has now been revealed who will star in the film.
While rumours have been swirling, we can confirm that Vanessa Kirby will star as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn will play Human Torch / Johnny Storm, Pedro Pascal joins as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will be Ben Grimm / Thing.
Plot details are slim, with the only synopsis offered on IMDb being "One of Marvel's most iconic families makes it back to the big screen".
Shakman, director of WandaVision, will direct the screenplay from Jeff Kaplan, Ian Springer and Josh Friedman. Freidman's previous credits include working on the stories for Avatar: The Way of Water and Terminator: Dark Fate. Kaplan and Springer have previously collaborated on films The Last of the Great Romantics and Bert and Arnie's Guide to Friendship.
Cameras are expected to start rolling on The Fantastic Four this summer.
