It’s hard to believe Labor Day is already behind us and we are at fair season in Ashland and Wayne counties. It is around this time of year our office starts receiving inquiries about upcoming fall farm tours. Many people are unaware there are several counties that conduct tours, so we wanted to share a full list of options for you and your family to consider. There is no RSVP required or cost to participate in any of these tours.

Wayne County Farm Bureau’s Farm Tour will take place noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5-6. The tour features seven stops (one is only open on Saturday) in the southwest quadrant of Wayne County. Stops are OSU Wooster campus (featuring the new Trimble Technology Laboratory), West View Pawpaw Farm, Troutman Vineyards, Esselburn Grain & Cattle Farm, Hummingbird Hill Flower Farm, Shreve Custom Meats (open Saturday only) and Summerhill Farm.

Activities and food offerings vary at each stop and are described in the booklet. Printed booklets are available at the office in Wooster and at agribusinesses around Wayne County. You also can access the booklet at wayne.ofbf.org. For more information call 330-263-7456 or email [email protected].
