Farrah Abraham Sues Viacom for "Sex Shaming" Her
Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham is suing MTV’s parent company, Viacom, for $5 million - for inconvenience, emotional and mental suffering, unpaid compensation that she was entitled to based on her Teen Mom contract, and other damages. Last month, Abraham said she was “moving on” from MTV’s Teen Mom OG show, but her lawsuit now claims the network "fired" her because she has worked in porn. In the lawsuit, which was filed in a Texas federal court, she claims the company “wrongfully terminated her employment because she did not conform to gender stereotypes.”
Abraham appeared alongside porn star James Deen in multiple videos in 2013 and 2014 (which she has claimed were leaked without her consent), has partnered with sex toy companies including making a mold of her vagina, and has made appearances at strip clubs.

Abraham alleges the show’s producer, Morgan J. Freeman, came to her house in October while she was filming Teen Mom OG and that, while the cameras rolled, she was “harassed, humiliated, discriminated against, disrespected, ridiculed, degraded, and sex shamed” by him because of her career choice. (Footage of the confrontation does include Freeman explaining to Farrah that she'll be cut from the show if she "[chooses] to work in the adult industry.") In the suit, Abraham claims he used a “hostile tone,”and allegedly threatened to sabotage her future work contracts. She adds that she was left fearing for her life.
In a statement to E! News, Abraham said:
“I am here to make a change for the LGBT and female community at large, and I'm proud I stay true to my identity as a business entrepreneur, reality star, and single mother. I am a business woman and female celebrity leader who will not be shamed or discriminated against by Viacom, MTV, [or] my peers.
She also shared a “tell all” video, featuring her daughter Sophia, on YouTube about the alleged behavior regarding MTV and Viacom. In the video, she said they are “master manipulators” who try make people hate her.

A Viacom spokesperson told People, “We respect Farrah’s decision to pursue other endeavors and we wish her the best. Regarding her suit, the claims are without merit.”
