Father, son open second Jacksonville-area healthy food restaurant

A father-and-son team of franchisees recently opened their second location of a nationwide health food restaurant specializing in tasty, "portion-controlled, nutritionally-balanced dishes."

From Jerry Mosiello and his son Jer, Clean Eatz is now open at 140 Little Cypress Dr., Suite 101, in Saint Johns. It's their second restaurant after opening Clean Eatz at 4828 W. Deer Lake Drive, Suite 1, in Jacksonville in 2021, state records show. And the Mosiellos are planning at least two more locations in the future, according to a news release announcing the Saint Johns restaurant.

Clean Eatz features a wide variety of healthy food ranging from bowls, burgers, wraps, flatbreads, smoothies and side dishes according to its menu.

Based in Wilmington, N.C., the restaurant chain was launched in 2013 by Don and Evonne Varady and began franchising in 2015. It currently has more than 100 cafes in 22 states, including 16 in Florida, according to franchise information on its website.

Clean Eatz Saint Johns is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, its website shows.
