I Tried The Infamous Panko-Battered Pickle Corn Dog At Disneyland, And It Was Semi Life-Changing

A few months ago, before the park reopened, Disneyland started serving a panko-crusted dill pickle corn dog (with a side of peanut butter). And, suffice to say, when it launched, people were a mix of excited and omg-what-is-happening.

I wasn't sure if the infamous pickle corn dog would still be at Disneyland when I was there recently — FYI, it's specifically sold at the Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs Cart in the Downtown Disney District — but, as luck would have it, it was definitely still there. So OBVIOUSLY, I had to try it.

For the record, this is a hot dog stuffed in a pickle, dipped in corn dog batter, coated in panko crust...and served with a side of peanut butter.

And here's what it looks like when it's being made.

Now, you probably noticed in the first picture, but this corn dog costs $13, which is quite pricey. BUT I would like to point out that it is massive.

And you could easily share this with another person. Or, if you have a big appetite, I guarantee you this $13 corn dog WILL fill you up. (It came with a bag of chips, too, so...)

I mean, look at this thing — it's almost the size of my head.

And how did it taste? Honestly...I thought it was DELICIOUS.

Look, I love a good corn dog, I love pickles, and I love peanut butter...so mashing them altogether into one item is kind of a dream come true for me. I actually thought the corn dog was going to be super salty, but to my surprise it wasn't; like, I didn't feel "salted out" after eating this. So...win!

And the corn dog batter wasn't quite as sweet as a ~regular~ corn dog, which I think was smart, because you could actually taste the peanut butter and get sweetness from that. Overall, it made for a really yummy experience!

So the next time you're at Downtown Disney — if you're a fan of corn dogs — 10/10 would recommend trying this!

Note: I was not paid by Disney to review this product nor give it a positive review. I just really wanted to try it!
