YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Over 100 fire trucks — both new and old — packed the parking lot at Central York High School this weekend.

It was all part of the Society for the Preservation & Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America‘s summer convention, hosted by their White Rose Fire Preservation of York Chapter.

Dozens, including truck collectors, came out.

Organizers say its about recognizing and appreciating how far firefighting technology has come.

“We just want to show them the history of the fire service and appreciate it and recognize that it got us to where we are today — how the technology has changed,” said Neil Gunnett.

A fire flea market was also held, and food was sold as well.
