Family and food go hand-in-hand: From Sunday dinners to holiday gatherings, recipes effortlessly connect generations. With an appreciation of this timeless notion, Chef Jonathan Scinto was inspired to bring together eight different families and listen to their heartfelt stories on Amazon Prime's new show Family Kitchen Revival.

Premiering on November 19, the eight-episode series will showcase the power of cooking a meal to say thank you to loved one who has helped during a difficult time, while also highlighting the importance of making healthier lifestyle choices.

Featured on Chopped and MasterChef, Jonathan draws on his experiences to teach families new recipes and cooking techniques to help revive their kitchen and lives.

"I never expected the show to unfold and touch the inner depths of people's emotions," he told Digital Journal. "The vibe with all these families was amazing, their stories inspiring and courageous, to share with myself and the crew as we came into their homes."

Although no two stories are alike, it’s clear that coming together to share a meal creates a sense of community, especially during trying times. And when the moment has passed, it’s easy to return to it with a dish.
