Dancing with the Stars returns to ABC after airing last season exclusively on Disney+, but this season it will air simultaneously on both the network and the streamer. Then it will be available the next day on Hulu.
The premiere date has yet to be announced, but it’s coming soon as the entire cast will be revealed on Sept. 13 on Good Morning, America. The one celebrity cast member that has been revealed is Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix.
Returning to the judges desk will be Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Len Goodman retired at the end of Season 31 and died shortly after. He will not be replaced as head judge. The three remaining judges will be equal.
Tyra took over as the DWTS host in September 2020, after Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews were let go from the dance competition.
As for Tyra moving on, she told TMZ, “I’m really focused on business. Like crazy, crazy, crazy focused on business. I feel it’s time for me to focus on my business and entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV, but behind the scenes. I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor… I really, really want to focus on my business, and you can’t do that hosting a show. You’ll see me creating things, not just hosting things.”
