Flights to Hawaii Are Now Even Cheaper

Melanie Lieberman
Updated

Last month, all of our tropical island dreams came true when flights to Hawaii plummeted. After United announced increased service on 11 routes to Hawaii, and Hawaiian Airlines added three new year-round routes, flights dropped to $344 round-trip.

And they’re only getting cheaper.

While flights from the West Coast have remained low (Scott’s Cheap Flights found flights to the Big Island, Oahu, and Maui from Seattle, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco starting at $352 round-trip) they’re now even more affordable from the East Coast, too.

There are currently flights to Kahului, Maui from the New York City area on sale for $576 round-trip. They’re available through Alaska Airlines.

Since acquiring Virgin America, Alaska Airlines has been steadily increasing service from the Bay Area — including new daily flights from San Francisco to Kona, Hawaii launching in December.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, travelers taking advantage of this Hawaii airfare sale can find cheap flights with all of the airlines increasing service to the Aloha State, including Alaska Airlines and Virgin America, Hawaiian Airlines, and United. There are also affordable fares through Delta and, from Canadian cities, with Air Canada or WestJet.

To find the cheapest flights from your point of departure, use Google Flights' low-fare calendar to find the best travel dates — and enter them in a search engine like Momondo.com for even lower prices.
