Florida man arrested after public intercourse: 'I should just leave her alone, but I can't'
A sheriff’s deputy in St. Petersburg, Fla., was on a “routine beach patrol” at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, when she noticed a full moon. More specifically, it was the “a white male naked backside” that was “pointed to the sky.”
The naked backside belonged to Tommy Lee Hampton, 52, and the legs wrapped around him in what the deputy described as “naked on the bottom half and having intercourse,” belonged to a woman he claimed was his “old lady.” Unfortunately, his “old lady” had an order of protection, which barred Hampton from any contact with the 45-year-old woman. They both smelled of alcohol, according to the report.
But it was “Tennessee Tom’s,” as he is sometimes known, way with words that make the story more interesting than just a Florida man having a roll in the sand on the beach.
In the arrest report, he allegedly told the deputy, “I should just leave her alone, but I can’t,” which is essentially our generation’s The Notebook, “I wrote you every day for a year,” or perhaps more of a Brokeback Mountain feel like, “I wish I knew how to quit you.”
His “romanticism” didn’t stop there. He allegedly told the deputy, “When you let me out, I’m goint [sic] get my old lady.”
And then he told the deputy, “At least I got some p**** before I went to jail.”
Hampton was arrested for violating an injunction for protection against domestic violence. This is the third time Hampton has been arrested for ignoring an order barring him from contacting his “old lady.”
Hampton is currently awaiting trial and his bond has been set for $5,000.
