Sandra Lee is sending a cautionary message about the use of weight loss injectables after her own experience with the drugs.

The Food Network star recently opened up about the troubling side effects she dealt with after taking the medication to help with weight management—though she did not disclose if it was the viral drug Ozempic specifically.

Lee made the admission during a red carpet appearance at The Daily Front Row's 8th Annual Fashion Awards in Los Angeles on April 28, telling Fox News, "I tried them recently and one of them put me in bed for an entire week."

"I lost 10 lbs but I was sick as sick could be. And so, I don't know, for every person it's what their body can handle and tolerate. It wasn't for me," she continued.

Weight loss drugs have skyrocketed in popularity recently, with celebrities like Oprah WinfreyRebel Wilson, and Sharon Osbourne admitting to using them to maintain their weight.

Though some have given rave reviews, others, like Osbourne, have spoken out about slimming down too much as a result of their use, with illness also a commonality. "Be careful what you wish for," she said while talking about the after-effects.

Winfrey, however, confirmed her use of Ozempic in a revealing interview with People in December, telling the publication, "I was actually recommending it to people long before I was on it myself."

It's caused quite a stir among the general public, especially as the former talk show host once called the drug the "easy way out."

Similarly, fans recently called out Barbra Streisand for publicly asking Melissa McCarthy if she's on Ozempic, too—though the singer defended it as a compliment.
