GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The only things hotter than the weather in West Michigan are all of the events coming to the area this weekend.

Here is a look at what you can do the weekend of Aug. 30:

GrandCon Gaming Convention

This weekend marks a decade of memories with the GrandCon Gaming Convention.

This year’s show returns to DeVos Place from Friday to Sunday. There will be scheduled events, panels, cosplaying and of course gaming.

Storm Team 8 Forecast

Kwave Summer Fest 2024

Saturday will also mark the first-ever Kwave Summer Fest at Garfield Park.

Starting at 1 p.m., you will be immersed in the world of KPop with special performances, live music, dancing games and more.

For all of you sneakerheads out there, you’re going to want to head on down to the Goei Center this Saturday.

It’s the Michigan Sneaker XChange and you will be able to buy, sell and trade pairs of shoes, clothing and other items. There will also be a live DJ and giveaways.
