‘The Price Is Right’ Has a Plan for When Players Excitedly Pee Their Pants

On The Price Is Right, contestants can quickly become over-the-top energetic upon learning they won a prize. This is great fun for folks watching at home. However, that excitement can lead to unintended consequences—like peeing their pants.
The good news is there's a system in place in case that happens.
Mike Richards, a former producer for The Price Is Right and Jeopardy! recently dished on the protocol in place in the event of a little urinary incontinence. Richard worked on the daytime game show as it transitioned from Bob Barker hosting to Drew Carey taking over the reins.
“When I got there, they had a system in place in case someone peed their pants,” Richards told People in an article published on March 23.
He continued: “I never saw it happen, but there were curtains and a blow dryer and [a] pair of sweats just in case, since we’d have to get on with the show.”

Although a bathroom accident was never (visibly) an issue on the show—probably thanks to the protocol in place—there have been other The Price Is Right fails through the years. Like when a contestant named Henry dislocated his shoulder while rejoicing over winning a game. (Don't worry, his wife, Alice, spun the big wheel for him.) There was also that time a woman named Judy hurt her ankle while spinning the big wheel.
The bottom line is anything can happen during a game show—and it's better to be over-prepared for various scenarios than underprepared.
