'Formerly Retired' Wendy Williams Hints At TV Return, Expresses Interest In Joining Spirited Talk Show

The former TV show host shared a bit about her plans for the future.

Wendy Williams hopes to return to TV soon, according to new comments from the star.

While out and about running errands in New York City, a member of the paparazzi spotted Williams and asked her for a comment.

She said, “I’m shopping for kitty litter because I have a wax museum in Paris and one in California. I’m going for a week in Paris and then three weeks in California and then immediately fly back.”

Williams then added a few intriguing words about work and what she might do next, as well as a specific talk show she would possibly be interested in joining: "And then I want to be on TV, stuff like Seth Meyers, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, The View, stuff like that. I am formerly retired.”

The former TV show host expressed her appreciation for The View in the past, even taking inspiration from it for one of her segments on The Wendy Williams Show.

The 58-year-old's popular talk show ended last summer after 13 seasons, with Williams not appearing in the final season to focus on her health.

Since then, she's hinted at an upcoming podcast and other projects, but nothing has come out yet.

Williams' candor and willingness to open up about her struggles have always been a part of her charm for fans.

During her time hosting The Wendy Williams Show, the star revealed that she had a relapse with alcohol, leading to a stay at a sober house.

In the last year or so, Williams revealed more about her health struggles, which include Graves' disease and lymphedema, and last September, she reportedly got treatment at a wellness facility.

She was seen out and about at an event earlier this month, looking great and feeling happy, which was a good sign for fans. While many people eagerly await Williams' return to work, whether on a show or podcast, they still hope she focuses on her health first.
