'Found' Promises to Draw In the 'SVU' Crowd This Fall
Summer may be in the air, but Fall TV will soon be on the air. One show to look forward to once the leaves start turning? The missing persons' drama Found. Created by Greg Berlanti and Nkechi Okoro Carroll, the series was initially slated to debut on NBC in February but got bumped to debut this fall.
“After watching the first few episodes of Found, it quickly became clear that our love for this show has continued to grow and grow with each step of the process,” Susan Rovner, the chair of entertainment content at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said in a statement in January. “Our goal is always to find the absolute best home for all our series, and it’s particularly the case with one as important as this."
Here's everything we know about Found so far, including what it's about, who's in the cast and how to watch it.

What is Found about?
According to NBC, "the premise of Found is chilling, shining a spotlight on the harrowing statistic that in any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. Of these reported cases, more than half of the missing people are people of color, too easily neglected by the system."
The show will follow Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton), a public relations professional who was once a missing person herself—and who now harbors a dark secret.
Who is cast in Found Season 1?
Shanola Hampton as Gabi Mosely
Shanola Hampton will take on the lead role of Gabi Mosely, a former missing person who is now a PR professional. Hampton played Veronica Fisher for 11 seasons on Shameless and was recently in the Netflix movie Deadly Illusions. Hampton also serves as a producer on Found.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Sir
Mark-Paul Gosselar's involvement in Found was announced in the spring of 2022. He will take on the role of "Sir," who, according to Deadline, is a controversial person from Mosely's past. Gosselear played Paul Johnson in the ABC series Mixed-ish, which was canceled in 2021 after two seasons.
Kelli Williams as Margaret Reed
Kelli Williams's character, Margaret Reed, is a crisis manager at Mosely's firm, Mosely and Associates. According to a Variety report, Reed is a careful observer of human behavior, the team's work mom and the biological mother of a son who was kidnapped at age 5. Williams's most recognizable role is as Lindsay Dole on The Practice.
Brett Dalton as Trent
Little is known about Brett Dalton's role in Found, but one thing's certain: The actor is pumped to be on the show. "That’s right, you just #FOUND your new favorite show on TV," Dalton wrote in an Instagram post on May 15 (see what he did there?). He added, "Excited to be part of a project so meaningful and relevant." You may remember Dalton from his time as Grant Ward and Hive in the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Gabrielle Walsh as Lacey
We don't know much about Gabrielle Walsh's character, either. But Walsh, who was previously a part of Paranormal Activity, is also excited about her new gig. "Overjoyed for you all to experience this series," Walsh wrote in an Instagram post.
Arlen Escarpeta as Zeke
Arlen Escarpeta is best known for his film credits, including Brotherhood (2010) and Whitney (2015), in which he played the late singer's ex-husband, Bobby Brown. Details about his role haven't been revealed, but you can peep him with the cast in this recent Instagram post.
Karan Oberoi as Dhan
Karan Oberoi previously appeared in Counterpart (2017) and Mapplethorpe (2018). We'll find out more about his role when the series premieres.

When is the Found Season 1 release date?
A release date for Found has yet to be announced. However, it is set to premiere in the fall of 2023 and will air Thursdays at 10/9 c on NBC.
How will the writers strike affect Found?
It's unclear. The Writers Guild of America is currently on strike, which could affect numerous TV shows. Found was initially slated for a February 2023 premiere, and it appears that the 13 episodes originally picked up have already been filmed, which bodes well for the show debuting in the fall even if the strike extends well into the summer. But NBC also ordered new, additional scripts when it pushed the show's premiere from midseason to fall, and it's unclear how those episodes will be impacted.
