Fourth annual Festival of Hope this Saturday
Jul. 25—GOSHEN — The fourth annual Festival of Hope will take place this Saturday in Goshen.
The Festival of Hope is sponsored by Miller Poultry and is a community event that the Center for Healing & Hope puts on annually during the summer.
"It is equal parts music festival, foodie festival, marketplace, and fundraiser," said Daniel Tackett, director of Marketing & Development at Center for Healing & Hope.
The event is free to attend. It features multiple activities including a bounce house, face painting, a balloon twister, giant bubble making, food trucks, a maker's market, community vendors and live entertainment.
The activities, food trucks, community vendors, and a maker's market will be set up from 5 to 9 p.m.
"We will be accepting donations for the nonprofit mission of Center for Healing & Hope throughout the evening with donation jugs and QR codes on site," Tackett said.
It has been 25 years since this organization began.
"We are seeking to raise $25,000 for 25 years of service for our Day of Giving as part of the event," Tackett said.
The Goshen Brewing Co., 315 W. Washington St., Goshen, is the host sponsor of this festival.
"We are always most excited about using the event as a platform to showcase a sampling of our mission and the many wonderful and welcoming things our community has to offer," Tackett said. "It's all very gratifying, supports a great cause, and it feels like a great way for us to give back to the community that supports our important work."
