Free theater performance for youth scheduled at Gonvick LINK site July 9

Jul. 1—GONVICK — The Gonvick LINK site invites youth to experience the power of live theatre with an engaging performance of "Country Mouse and City Mouse: Adventures in the Suburbs," a performance geared for children ages 3-10 at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at 170 Main St.

The play will be hosted by Lake Agassiz Regional Library and will be performed by Climb Theatre, which uses the power of live theater to inspire people to build better communities, a release said.

"Country Mouse & City Mouse" is a fun take on the beloved tale, witnessing the mouse cousins taking their adventure to more neutral grounds: The Suburbs. Children will love watching the two mice discover how to compromise and celebrate their differences, the release said

The tour is sponsored by Lake Agassiz Regional Library and is offered free of charge, thanks in part to funding from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

A number of free programs will be held in connection with the reading challenge, including Magic Shows, theater productions, craft events and much more. More information and a full list of programs can be found at
