Fresno Chaffee Zoo to open butterflies, big bugs experience
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The return of the butterflies at Fresno Chaffee Zoo, as well as an expansion that will feature a new experience, have been announced Friday by Zoo officials.
According to officials, Fresno Chaffee Zoo’s butterflies are returning, with an expansion that will feature the debut of Big Bugs.
The “Butterflies and Big Bugs” is described by officials as an immersive experience that promises to captivate visitors of all ages with its larger-than-life display of over a dozen big bugs.
Zoo officials say this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for families and children to delve into the world of these creatures, while also learning about their crucial roles in the ecosystem.
The experience will open on April 15. Ticket prices are $5 for non-members and $4 for members.
Officials say there is a Butterflies and Big Bugs Membership pass, but it is only available to FCZ members. It must be purchased in person.
