The ‘Frozen’ Musical Cast Performed on TV and It Was SO Good

Frozen fans have been treated to glimpses of the current Broadway musical in recent weeks, and now they’re getting a look at an exciting first from the cast. Appearing on Good Morning America on Wednesday, the stage actors performed “For the First Time in Forever,” and it was as amazing as you’d expect.

In the special segment, Princess Anna (played by Patti Murin in the Broadway musical) sings the iconic song as she gets ready for her sister Elsa’s coronation. Putting on her famous green ballgown, Anna grows increasingly excited as she realizes she might also get to share a moment of her sister’s spotlight — and even meet “the one” at the crowning ceremony.

Her sister, Elsa (played by Caissie Levy), then appears. As she prepares to officially take the throne and become the Queen of Arendelle, she belts out a few lines from the show and movie’s most famous song, “Let It Go,” trying to calm herself down. “Conceal, don’t feel, put on a show,” she sings, “Make one wrong move and everyone will know.”

While the Frozen Broadway show, inspired by the Disney film, also contains 12 new original songs, the original soundtrack remains beloved by fans. According to Kristen Bell, who voices Anna in the film, the Frozen sequel’s songs are already done, and they, along with the movie, are “very good.” Frozen 2 will be released on November 27, 2019.
