John Stamos'memoir isn't set to debut until October 24, but it clearly already has him reminiscing about his time on Full House.

The actor's upcoming book, titled If You Would Have Told Me, will cover all of the most important milestones in his career — and he appears to be kicking off his walk down Memory Lane with a video uploaded to his Instagram account on August 10.

The emotional montage shows John and the Full House cast (including the late Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Jodie Sweetin and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) in some rare behind-the-scenes moments from the popular sitcom. In the voiceover to the clip, John got sentimental about how much Full House still means to him, almost four decades later.

"The essence of a family isn’t defined by its shape, size or color," he captioned the sweet snippet. "Family is where you find belonging and connection, and just know, you’ll always be part of ours."

John has a loyal fanbase, thanks in large part to his portrayal of Full House's Jesse Katsopolis, so it isn't surprising that folks immediately became overwhelmed with emotion after watching the throwback clip.

"I wasn’t ready to break down into full tears today but here we are," one person wrote on Instagram. "I just cried like I've never cried before," another added. "I felt like I was watching a family home movie. ???? This is beautiful. Loved this show and family," a different follower noted.

While Full House fans clearly can't get enough of the show, the Grandfathered alum had to work on developing a similar sentiment throughout the years. In the video's voiceover, John explains his feelings about the series in what seems to be an excerpt from his upcoming book:

"Alright, so here's the thing. I finally, truly get it. It's more than a show — it's a family. It's everyone's family... This struggling little show I fought with every fiber of my being would become a highlight in my career. Full House turns out to be one of the most quintessentially important family shows of the 20th century. This was a show where the central character wasn't any single role — it was love."

We couldn't have said it any better ourselves, John!
