Fun Fest continues with dog show, pool party

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Fun Fest continued Monday in Kingsport with festivities for people and pets.

A dog show at Allandale Mansion and pool party at the Kingsport Aquatic Center were hosted for the community.

Categories for the dog show ranged from prettiest female to handsomest male, best trick and best costume. Chief Operations Officer at Kingsport Chamber Vanessa Bennett told News Channel 11 that the annual festival welcomes all walks of life.

Outdoor play encouraged at Fun Fest Kids Central

“Fun Fest brings something to everybody,” she said. “We’ve got activities for kids, our seniors, our families, our companies. Why not have something for our dogs too? So that’s what Peak Young Professionals wanted to do here tonight.”

Earlier Monday, Fun Fest hosted a Kids’ Central event that featured an interactive play session for children.
