Gal Gadot Just Reunited with 'Wonder Woman' Co-Star Chris Pine at Comic-Con
Fans of the first Wonder Woman movie were overjoyed to find out that a sequel was being made. And now, thanks to Comic-Con, we have a glimpse of the original cast back together again.
Turning out to talk about Wonder Woman 1984, the long-awaited sequel to the smash hit first movie, star Gal Gadot, and onscreen love interest, Chris Pine, reunited with their director, Patty Jenkins. And for the occasion, Pine wore an incredibly striking outfit.
Intent on making a strong impression on the crowd, Pine wore double orange to Comic-Con. Or is it tangerine? Or peach? Whatever the shades are called, Pine looks awesome:
Vulture revealed that director Jenkins "teased the resurrection of Pine’s character and explained why the movie is set in 1984." According to Vulture, Jenkins said she chose the eighties because, "It was mankind at its best … and worst. It’s us at our most extreme."
Wonder Woman herself, Gadot, is tense about making another movie as good as the first, as she revealed to the crowd: "The bar is very, very high, but our aspirations are even higher." Clearly, the team are intent on delivering a satisfying story for their fans.
Jenkins also revealed just how important the franchise is to her. She said, "I never want to do more of anything for the wrong reason. I don’t even want to go to that place in my head of how you keep it going and cash in. I want to make great movies in my lifetime … we can make a whole new movie about something completely new, and as unique in its own right as the first one."
