A ‘Game of Thrones’ Album Is Coming So We Can Go Back to Westeros Any Time We Damn Well Please

Updated

As excited as we are for season eight of Game of Thrones, we can’t help but compare the end of the show to a bittersweet breakup. And as with any proper parting of ways, HBO has a special memento for us: A GoT-inspired album.

Yep, the premium cable company is teaming up with Columbia Records to release an album aptly titled Music Inspired by Game of Thrones to help salve our emotional wounds, according to Billboard.

The compilation is said to feature artists “from diverse musical genres,” and will not include songs from the actual show. No further details about the album have been released, but we bet GoT alums Coldplay, Sigur Ros, Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol and more might lend their voices.

So, when we’re torn up about Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) finding out they’re related, or overwhelmed by the whole Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) situation, we can just listen to the sweet sounds of Westeros and all will be well.

We hate goodbyes. *Sniffles*
