'General Hospital' Star Robyn Bernard Dead at 64

Robyn Bernard, the actress known for playing Terry Brock for years on the popular daytime soap opera General Hospital, has died. She was 64.
Bernard died in an open field located behind a business along the 1800 block of South San Jacinto Avenue in San Jacinto, Calif., according to a press release the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office issued on Wednesday, March 13. She was living in San Jacinto at the time that her body was discovered, authorities said.
The press release identified Bernard’s date of death as March 12. Her cause of death has not yet been publicly identified.
Sergeant Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez, the public information officer with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, told Parade that foul play is not suspected in connection with Bernard’s death. No additional information was available to share with the public as of March 13.
Bernard was born in Gladewater, Texas, on May 26, 1959. Her first movie was 1981’s Diva, though she was better known for her TV spots. In addition to appearing as a guest on shows like the hit sitcom The Facts of Life, the crime drama Simon & Simon and the science fiction show Whiz Kids, Bernard landed a character role on ABC’s hit soap opera General Hospital, the second-longest American show of its kind in TV history.
Bernard began playing Brock on General Hospital in 1984 and continued through 1990. She appeared in 145 episodes during her six-year run, according to TMZ. Her character’s most memorable story arc came amidst a murder mystery on the show, during which Brock believed she was responsible for another character’s death, according to TV Line.
After leaving General Hospital, Bernard acted less in the 1990s and has been absent from TV and film since the early 2000s. Her last role was in 2002’s Voices from the High School, according to her IMDb page.
