In HBO's Succession, every member of the Roy family is more sociopathic, despicable, deliciously evil, and conniving than the last—and that's why we love 'em all. Connor Roy hires an escort to be his girlfriend, and then decides he's qualified to run for president of the United States. Insolent Kendall Roy raps Beastie Boys as he rides around Manhattan in a limo. Roman Roy abuses his power every chance he gets. Shiv Roy, despite her flawless fashion sense, is totally incapable of having a monogamous marriage with her husband Tom, who, um, swallows his own ejaculation.

The Roys are nothing short of entertaining, but it's high time we talk about someone outside of the family: Gerri, General Counsel to the their media company Waystar Royco. Brilliantly played by J. Smith-Cameron, Gerri is objectively the smartest player in the room at all times, and she knows it too. Despite a quiet presence in season 1, she plays a big role in Season 2 with her position on Waystar Royco's already very crowded board. She also develop a rather... interesting sexual relationship with Roman.

Gerri is razor-sharp, a big force consistently lingering in the background, but not one to be ignored. She's a standout character from the snooty band of scions she serves, and Twitter has, rightly, crowned her the Queen of Succession.

Twitter has also concluded that this Gerri quote is the literal perfect response to a mansplanation.

And, of course, Twitter has stated the obvious.
