WHAT WE LIKE
PACKED WITH MOISTURIZERS Skin hydrators make up the first half of the plant-based balm's ingredient list, starting with the brand's signature emollient squalane, which mimics a natural oil found in human skin. Using a Corneometer to measure hydration, we found that testers' skin remained moisturized six hours after hydration.
FREE OF CONCERNING INGREDIENTS According to testers, knowing that this is formulated without fragrance —which can irritate sensitive skin — parabens or other conventional preservatives gave them extra peace of mind.
GREAT TEXTURE Oils and emollients (including moisturizing all-star jojoba) in a plant-wax base give this a softer, faster-absorbing consistency than a typical balm, which particularly pleased consumer testers. "It spread easily and absorbed into the skin quickly," commented one mom. "I liked that it didn't feel sticky or slimy or leave a film on my daughter's skin or mine," said another, who also found a benefit for herself."My hands have been really dry lately, and this helped!"
