Giant Trinity Advanced SL Time Trial Bike Takes Top Honors on Stage 20
After three weeks of racing the final two spots on the 2018 Tour de France podium came down to just 40 minutes of bike racing. Tom Domoulin, Primo? Rogli?, and defending Champion Chris Froome all rolled out of the start house with their sights set on securing one of those coveted spots. When the dust settled it was Tom Domoulin showing why his the current Time Trial World Champion, taking out his first stage win of this year's Tour and maintaining his second place on GC.
Domoulin rode a custom-painted Giant Trinity Advanced SL on his way to victory today. Rainbow stripes adorn the down tube, seat post, and his Shimano Pro disc wheel, matching his ExteOndo World Champion skinsuit. Domoulin also uses Dura-Ace Di2 electronic shifting with satellite shifters on both the brake levers and aero extensions. The Shimano Pro tri-spoke front wheel is a very popular choice for time trials, and Shimano also provides the power meter. Team Sunweb is a Shimano-sponsored team so it's no surprise to see the full menu of Shimano products in use. Last but not least, Domoulin uses a Garmin Edge 1030 computer.
