Gigi Hadid Just Shared a Rare Glimpse at One-Year-Old Khai's Style
Baby Khai seems to be following in her mom's footsteps.
In her latest Instagram photo dump, Gigi Hadid offered a rare look into life with one-year-old Khai, whom the supermodel co-parents with ex Zayn Malik. The sweet photo shows the back of her daughter, who wears a denim jacket with "Khai" embroidered in cursive across the back. The toddler also wore checkered jeans and white and red shoes.
"Recents :)," Hadid captioned the series of photos, which also included some classic mirror selfies and Instagram-worthy dinner spreads.
Hadid and Malik welcomed Khai's arrival in September 2020. In a recent interview for InStyle, the supermodel talked about her daughter's blossoming personality and her close-knit community of fellow mom friends.
"She's just so smart, and she's so aware. She watches everything, she's always learning, she's always looking. She's just awesome," Hadid said. "I still can't believe it. It's wild. A lot of my mom friends feel like that, and we're nearing the first couple years [with our kids]. You're obsessed with them, but sometimes you turn and you're like, 'Oh my god. Where did you come from?'"
She also talked about her anxieties around motherhood for Harper's BAZAAR's August 2021 cover story.
"During my pregnancy, I had one journal that I called my good journal and one journal that I called my bad journal. They weren't that literal, but one was more for the memories, for Khai. Maybe one day I'll give her the bad journal just to be real about it," she said. The "bad" journal, she explained, was for, "Anxieties and days where I felt like, 'Am I good enough to be a mom?' I didn't want to feel guilty about feeling those things or writing those things down."
