Gillian Anderson attended the red carpet premiere of her forthcoming Netflix film “Scoop” in London on March 27. The actress fashioned a look by Emilia Wickstead.
The Emmy-winning actress donned the bespoke strapless mohair Ryder dress by the London-based fashion brand. The teal dress featured a hemline that fell at Anderson’s ankles.

She accessorized with jewelry by British designer Solange Azagury-Partridge, including drop earrings, a delicate bracelet and rings. Her metallic silver sandal heels were by Gianvito Rossi.
The actress’ blonde hair was styled by James Rowe, and her makeup was done by Amanda Grossman. Anderson was styled by Martha Ward, who’s also worked with actress Minnie Driver.
Wickstead is a popular designer in the U.K. and has notably been worn by the likes of Lily Gladstone, Julianne Moore and Catherine, Princess of Wales.
More recently, Wickstead debuted the fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. Among the looks from the runway, flower-embellished crinkly minidresses with a ’60s feel, and leotard tops with long ballerina skirts evoked a bygone Manhattan sensibility.
Established in 2008, the New Zealand-born designer’s first collection made its debut during the spring 2012 showcase during London Fashion Week. Since then, Wickstead’s designs have amassed a following among celebrities and public figures, with a style and silhouette centered on modern femininity.
As for Anderson, the actress has used her fashion to make statements on the red carpet. At the 2024 Golden Globe awards, the actress fashioned a strapless ivory gown by Gabriela Hearst covered in embroidered vulvas. The frock was a fashionable nod to her work on the Netflix series “Sex Education.”
“Scoop” follows the true story of how the BBC obtained its bombshell interview with Prince Andrew regarding his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “Scoop” is available to stream on Netflix on April 5.
