Girl Scouts gather at The Bend XPO, East Moline
Girl Scouts and other kids could “Journey the World” on Saturday.
People from all over the Quad Cities joined in the fun by going to The Bend XPO Center, East Moline, to see booths that represented various countries.
The event, full of interactive displays, was designed for children to learn new skills sets and encourage girls to join different Girl Scout communities in the area.
Kids could visit with therapy dogs, make s’mores, and fly kites, among many other activities, including a John Deere Augmented Reality Welding Simulator.
Through art, music, dancing, and more, kids discovered an appreciation for other cultures. They received “passports” at check-in.
